CIUOTO or REGINA - PGI BEANS FROM SARCONI

Dwarf Borlotto ecotype with round-ovoid seed, not very large, with a cream-white background and red-wine streaks. This ecotype is the best known and perhaps the oldest: it is highly appreciated on the market for its skin, which is almost non-existent after cooking. When used in the kitchen it redeems itself from the name "CIUOTO" (in Italian "idiot") and becomes a "QUEEN" food for its varied use and excellent taste, flavor and cooking qualities. It is in fact an authentic and superior Borlotto, to be used for the most varied and tasty recipes.
